Forsted Flacco's and Gits Gitters take over division lead! The frosted Flacco's and Gits Gitters are the hottest teams in the league with win streaks of 4 and 3 respectively. Their winning has enabled them to rise to the top of their divisions. Flacco leads the League and the Summer division with a record 0f 6-1(w4). While Git owns the Winter division with a record of 5-2(w3).
Gits Gitters took matters into their own hands and have secured the #1 spot in the Winter division by defeating the previous #1. Gitters defeated the Oregon rain by the score of 122.5-112.5. And with Git playing the Rams next week, he should remain Winters top team.
Over in the Summer division the SoCal Trojans knocked off the division leading Vaders Troops by the score 92.5-67. Guess the Darkside was lacking in the Force this week. This opened it up for the Frosted Flacco's to take advantage. With Flacco able to avoid slipping on the banana he posted this weeks high score and squashed the Banana Lovers by a score of 129.5-98.5
Looking forward at week 8. It appears Gits Gitters will improve their record to 6-2(W-4) as they play the sad sack Rams. The rest of us have tougher match ups. The key match up being the Santa Clarita Spankers on the road at Darth Vaders Troopers. Two 5-2 teams looking to battle it out in the Summer division. The winner looking to make ground or keep pace with Flacco. While the loser slips further away from a division title. Is the Force going to be with the Darth this week? Or will The Spankers lay down the law with some good ole' fashioned capital punishment...
Top Scoring Trophy has been awarded and is in the case. This weeks top scorring team is the Florida Frosted Flaccos with a 129.5. The Flacco's have captured this honor for the 3rd time this season..''can you say scoring machine'' A new league poll is up.. check it out and VOTE. Good luck in week 8 everyone...

Here we are fanballers, half way though the NFL season and it has been a great one. A lot of fantastic games, and probably one of the most entertaining season I've seen in a long time. And this has all added to the fun of fantasy football...
In our league here the division leaders remain hot and have now win streaks of 4 and 5. The Winter division continues to be led by Git, with the Rain's loss this week they are now a game back. And the Champ has evened his record at 4-4, and now holds the final playoff spot. The Fez Monkeys have improved to 2-6 and are still playoff hopeful. While the Rams drop another to go 0-8.
The Summer division features the Frosted Flacco's at the top with an impressive record of 7-1. But the Spankers(5-3) and Darth Vaders Troopers(6-2) are right on his heels. The Trojans(3-5) with the Banana Lovers(2-6) round out the Summer and ARE still in playoff contention.
This weeks big match up is between Gits Gitters and the Beaverton Canonfighters. Dont look now but the Champ has been slowely climbing back into position to make his run. Two wins in a row, top score for the week, and now he faces the top dog in his division. If Git cant get it done then the Canonfighters will gain ground and be only one game back of leading the Winter division. If the Gitters win.. they come one step closer to winning the division.
The Beaverton Canonfighters are this weeks top scoring team, just edging out the Fez monkeys by a half point. -the Commish

Gitters and Frosted Flaccos win again! Git's Gitters send the Beaverton Canonfighters to a sub .500 record at 4-5. And with that win he continues to hold a one game lead in the Winter division over the Oregon Rain. Git(7-2) has averaged 109pts/per week and faces the Banana Lovers(3-6) averaging 89pts/per week. But with some key injuries, the final bye week, and favorable/unfavorable match ups. Could this be an upset special? Or will the Gitters continue to improve on their record.
The Frosted Flaccos continue to light up the scoreboard with a league leading 124 points this week, and the league best 8-1 record. Frosted Flaccos(8-1) have averaged 103pts/per week and will face Vaders Troopers(6-3) who average 98pts/per week. Vader began the season on a hot streak scoring over 100pts per game the first 6 weeks building a 5-1 record. Since then he's averaged 66pts and lost two of the last three. Will Vader get his troops in line? or will Flacco continue to show his dominance.
As we close in on round one of the playoffs. This is how we stand. #1 The Frosted Flacco's would gets the first BYE. #2 Git's Gitters would recieve the second BYE. #3 Oregon Rain would host the #6 Canonfighters. #4 Darth Vaders Troopers would host the #5 Santa Clarita Spankers. Believe it or not, with 4 games to go; all teams excluding the Sad Sack Rams are still in contention for the championship. It may take a miracle and some wild weekends but once your in the playoffs, ANYTHING can happen. Good luck all And don't forget.... There's Thursday football this week. -Commish

Close Shaves. This last week featured a number of very tight games. Vaders Troopers were looking to close the gap on the Frosted Flacco's, but came up 2 points shy of victory. That victory/loss has ensured the Florida Frosted Flacco's the Summer division Championship. Way to Go Nick. Even though the Summer division top spot is all wrapped up, the middle is still hottly contested. Vaders troopers(#2 Summer) have a big match up with Gits Gitters(#1 Winter), a loss by either team could dramatically alter their playoff out look. The Gitters are tied with the Rain for the Winter division lead... but Git holds the tie breaker. So its important that Git wins, a loss could be the difference of of having a round one playoff bye or not. And Vader(#2 Summer) needs the win to stay ahead of the Banana Lovers(#4 Summer), and Santa Clarita Spankers(#3 Summer) who are right on his tail. This weeks match up to watch is between the Banana Lovers(#4) @ Santa Clarita Spankers(#3). Who ever wins this match up will be in the drivers seat for capturing the last playoff spot. The loser is on the fast track to consolation.
Other close games this last week included a 5.5point win by the Banana Lovers over the Gitters. And the Rains 6.5 point victory over the Trojans.
Two Awards going out this week. The 1st is to the top scorer for the week. The Banana Lovers with a score of 119pts. The second award is the "2008 Summer Division Champion" it goes out to Florida's Frosted Flacco's. Good job guys..

'Round the corner and into the streatch! With the Frosted Flacco's sitting on top and waiting for the rest of it to get sorted out. Two weeks togo, and a couple of playoff race's heating up. All teams except the SL Rams are still in the hunt..... Here's the matchups if the playoffs began this week. #1 Florida Frosted Flaccos *BYE-#1* #5 Beaverton Canonfighters @#4 Darth Vaders Troopers
#6 Santa Clarita Spankers @#3 Oregon Rain #2 Git's Gitters *BYE-#2*
The Flacco's pasted the Rain with the weeks high score of 141. Good luck all in these next two weeks.

PLAY OFF TIME
WOW.. what a season. First off I would like to thank everyone that came out and participated. Fantasy football is always more fun with a competitive league and owner interaction. All though we had zero trades this year.. the smack boards were alive with back and forth banter each week. And as the season unfolded some teams were able to back up the smack while others took it square on the chin. As we head into the playoffs lets look back at some of the season highlights. We had games decided by half points. Home field advantage came into play more then once. We had one team win zero games, while another had a near perfect season going 12-1. The defending champ is in the playoffs.. and I'm sure he wants to THREE-PEAT. Round #1 match-ups are as follows....with my predictions.
#5 Santa Clarita Spankers at Darth Vaders Troops. The Spankers will be coming to Vaders turf and will start this match up down by 3. This is going to be a back and forth affair... Down by at least 14 after Thursday the Spankers will begin a comeback and own the lead after morning NFL action is complete. But like I said, its going to be a battle. With some favorable match ups Vader and his Troopers will once again be out in front, but not for long.... Sunday night football will get the Spankers back into the lead, but it will be a slim one..... too slim! Because as they say...."Defense wins Championships", and while that usually doesn't ring true in Fantasy Football. I expect the Buccaneers to shine Monday night and move Darth Vaders Troops past the Santa Clarita Spankers and into the second round..... (Vader: 99 - Spankers: 91)
#6 Beaverton Canonfighters at #3 Oregon Rain. The fighters have had an inconsistent team all season. And Matt Forte is about to hit the rookie wall, and Jones-Drew is going to hit the Chicago wall. And with a number of unfavorable match ups, I expect a down performance from them this week. While on the other hand the Rain has some really nice match ups that should equate into points... Three keys in this match up... #1 the QB's. #2 Canonfighters RB's, #3 Defensive match up (Panthers vs TB) and how will Sota' do w/o the Williamses? This IS Detroit's only chance to get a win before the end of the season. But when it gets down to it... its all about the points and the Rain simply score more.. (Rain: 107 - Canonfighters: 90)
More Trophies have been awarded... Frosted Flacco's scored a season high 169.5 and took the weekly high score. And he also took the award for total Points scored for the season. Good Job... -=Commish=-

Ding ding... Round 2! Round one was upset city... at least I am upset. And Vader couldnt call on the force to help him survive. With that our two road teams have moved on into the second round and will face off against the division Champs.
#1 Florida Frosted Flaccos hosting the Santa Clarita Spankers. With the leagues best record and coming off his bye week the Frosted Flaccos will look to move forward and into the championship round. But with the Spankers will be looking to end all that and hand out another spanking on their way to the Championship. Now lets explore the line-ups. With the Thursday night game the Spankers will jump out and should lead by at least 23. The Bears defense.. cant stop the pass... and once the Saints get out in front, 'da Bears wont beable to stop the mix of Piere Thomas and Reggie Bush. A long night for the Bears will turn into an early lead for the spankers. As we progress into Sunday action the Flacco's will find them selves in a closer then expected battle. I wouldnt be surprised if the Spankers are leading headed into Monday. But this is where home feild and David Akers will come into play, will Clevland stop the Philly Offense and make them kick feild goals.. giving the Flacco's the win. Or will they score at will and they kick PAT's instead.. This ones close.. But the Spankers get Frosted(103-97)
In our other match up we have #6 Beaverton Canonfighters @ the #2 Git's Gitters This one is a real tough one for the Gitters.. match ups are not the most favorable and he's running out of bodies. With the waver wire looking like the bare bones of a Thanks Giving turkey after dinner, he better hope he has some players who are willing to play hurt. While on the other hand the defending champ is looking to take full advantage of a soft schedule and the mojority of his players will be at home. If Gitters players dont show up.. Canonfighters biggest decission may be to sit or play the Pilly TQB Monday night. On his way to a possible 3-peat...? Its the Canonfighters (111-84)
Good luck guys and gals..... Vote my poll and lets see if you can call'm better then me!

CHAMPIONSHIP FANTASY FOOTBALL!!!
This week was incredible... First off we had the Spankers looking to up set the dominant team this season... The Frosted Flaccos. But even with out having a team defense in the line-up, the Flaccos easily dispatched the Spankers by a score of (103.5-70.5) With that win the Flaccos are riding a 12 game win streak into the Championship match up against the Gitters. Speaking of Gits Gitters... they had a very tough match up against our two time defending champion Beaverton Canonfighters. But there will be no 3-peat. Thanks to some last minute roster moves(filling in for injured players), home field advantage and a late Monday Night interception Gits Gitters were able to inch past the Canonfighters with a ONE POINT victory. So here we have the two division champs meeting for all the marbles... Just like the previous playoff rounds, I'm going to give my prediction. The way I see it... This match up looks to be extremely balanced to me.. both owners have more good then bad match ups. But the Flaccos have the hotter players and its going to boil down to two things. 1.) the Running back positions. I have faith that Flaccos RB's are going to produce. Gits are going to have to play above themselves to give the Gitster a fighting chance. 2.) the Packer TQB-Jennings combo.. Will this double dip strategy pay off? When its all done and the smoke clears.. Slaton and Peterson will come up BIG.. Frosted Flacco's will be the CHAMP. (121.5 - 104)Good luck gentlemen... And like Ray Ray would say... "TIME TO FINISH, FINISH THIS, FINISH THE GAME". -The Commish
